Previous assignments include a duo mime show for a Symantec ‘Norton 360’ presentation, supplying an Ice Fairy for a BBC research HD Engineering Training Video and Stuart Luis performing as a hand artist for a 3D stereoscopic video for Lexus Japan, interacting with 3D graphics where expert mime technique and mime illusion was essential.As a professional French mime Stuart Luis have worked on various assignments, which include the front cover of the iconic TIME magazine posing as a French Mime Artist photographic model, (referencing the sad loss of the master of mime Marcel Marceau) performing on the BBC The Late Edition show as a French Weather Reporter and the Oxford University award winning series ‘The English Channel’ as Jacko the Mime.
Credits include feature films such as Blade 2 directed by Guillermo del Toro, where he fought martial arts maestro Donnie Yen as a Reaper in the House of Pain and as a Crawler in terrifying The Descent directed by Neil Marshall. A specialist in skin, costume and prosthetics he has worked on numerous tv commercials, which includes a Crash Test Dummy for Audi, a puppeteer for the Pal Dog Food Series and as a French Mime Artist for P&O. Television appearances range from teaching mime on The Big Breakfast, a ‘come to life’ human statue in Red Dwarf to being encased in plastic robotic mannequin costumes for the Randall & Hopkirk Series 1&2.
Mime is a universal language and Stuart Luis is often booked for trade shows, presentations, marketing and promotional events around the world, including tailor made mime shows for companies in Lapland, Saudi Arabia, China and numerous countries in Europe. Solo and duo mime shows are available. Mime costume entertainment for trade shows includes a robotic mannequin human statue, which is an extremely popular mime act that never fails to attract people to a stand, creating a friendly and relaxed atmosphere.
Mimespace offer professional Meet & Greet entertainers for corporate & private parties, which have in the past included entertaining (as a French Mime Artist) the top French chef Raymond Blanc for his 25th Anniversary Party at Le Manoir Aux Quat’Saisons, Pierre Cardin’s ‘Bubble House’ in Cannes and Richard Branson’s Mad Alice in Wonderland Party at his home in Oxfordshire.
